The Ripple Edge Tray

$36.00

A Moment of Calm, Just for You
There’s something quietly beautiful about the small moments — a favourite ring by the sink, a piece of dark chocolate savoured mid-afternoon, or a handwritten note placed with care. The Ripple Edge Tray is made for those moments. Its gently crinkled edges call to mind soft fabric folds or ripples on still water after rain. Rest it on your bedside, your desk, or kitchen bench — anywhere you want to pause and add a little grace to the everyday.

Handcrafted & One of a Kind

This tray began as a simple slab of clay, rolled out and shaped by hand. The rippled edge was carefully formed, pinched and coaxed into place, then smoothed and refined until it felt just right beneath my fingertips. No wheel, no moulds — only slow, intentional handwork and patience. Every soft curve tells the story of its making.

A Slow & Intentional Process

Each piece goes through a thoughtful process of creation:

  • Day 1: Rolled, shaped, crinkled, smoothed.

  • Days 2–3: Dried slowly, refined, and prepared for firing.\

  • Days 4–6: A single kiln firing — a three-day process of gradual heating, reaching over 1200°C, then cooling slowly to ensure strength and durability.

  • Day 7: Sanded smooth and given a warm, soapy bath — ready for its next home.
